A2G® Wheel Company is an OEM wheel supplier for heavy- and medium-duty trucks and commercial trailers in North America. Our road to success started in 2010 with a collaboration between Woody Weigandt (former President of Accuride Canada) and William Pierce (former co-owner of Neway Anchorlock International and co-founder of PRP® Industries Inc. with over 70 US and international patents in his name that provided innovation to the transportation industry).
With over 50 years each of experience in the heavy truck and trailer market, it was clear to us the industry needed a premium, maintenance-free wheel that would outperform both aluminum and steel wheels.
A proven wheel solution
Through an extensive eight-year joint field evaluation program with three national fleets, including Pepsi/Frito Lay, and Sysco, we solved the steel wheel corrosion problem facing many of the fleets today. In 2013 A2G® premium performance wheels utilizing PRP’s CORSOL® corrosion solutions technology was introduced to the market, becoming the first commercial steel wheel designed to last the lifetime of a trailer without refinishing. Shortly after its introduction, Frito Lay began purchasing new trailers through Hyundai Translead and Kentucky Trailers with new A2G® wheels installed.
Continuing to innovate, in 2014, the A2G® team developed a new and improved wheel utilizing PRP’s CORSOL® corrosion solutions technology, aluminum, and proprietary resins. With over four years of exceptional field performance, this new wheel was introduced to the market in 2018, and a US Patent was issued in 2019. Today the A2G® Premium Performance Platinum Wheels are specified by numerous Fleets throughout North America and are the only maintenance-free commercial wheel in the market with over a ten-year proven track record. A2G® wheels are available on new trailer purchases through Hyundai Translead, Wabash, Vanguard, Strick, and Reitnouer.
